I was pretty excited to finally receive my car (like school boy excited...) so I didn't even consider doing a walk-around, assuming I was receiving the 'perfect' product I'd agreed to pay for. Noticed the following day that there's a pretty bad scratch/scuff on the passenger side near the hood. I thought it was some kind of dirt or tar at first but turns out the paints gone

I'll post image when I get the car back from getting the cooling fan replaced. The mark is probably the size of a quarter. What realistic outcome can I expect from this? Just live with it?

Hell no, take it back and ask them to fix it. You can always ask, esp if you have not received the delivery survey from Chevrolet, they take your score seriously. Don't wait too long.

I have several of these spots also. One on my hood, others all over the car. They were very hard to see unless in the direct sunlight. I'm sick over it! Mine goes back to dealership tonight so it can be checked out. After doing a little research, it looks like its not uncommon! Unacceptable!

When I took possession of my car, my dealer pointed out two or three of these on the passenger's side of the hood. Their detail guy applied some touch up paint, but said I could bring it back later for them to fix it properly. I made sure that these were documented on the "we owe you" form when I signed the paperwork.
