i received this message on Chevy Chat today: "Your 2016 Camaro was released to the carrier on April 22, 2016." What does released to the carrier mean? are they loading it on a truck? if so, awesome!

Early this morning, Becky said mine was 4B00 (bayed).

My dealer called earlier and said they are hoping it might be here this week, but they do not have an ETA yet.

I just checked with Chevy Chat and they said it was "waiting for a carrier to be assigned for transit". I asked the lady for the event code and she said it was 4000. I hope it really did change from 4B00 to 4000 today.

I hopped over to Becky's status forum and posted a message asking her to double-check. (crossing my fingers...)

Mine was originally supposed to arrive at the dealer today. I am hoping to get a better idea of the actual arrival date because I need to get time off work scheduled.

Guess I will watch some movies and play video games tonight while I wait.

Just check out "ride on camaro" on amazon...it's not very powerful but I plan on upgrading a few things once she's comfortable riding it.

Mine has been stuck at 4300 since 4/12. Every time Becky checks for me its at 4300. What does it mean?

Mine has been sitting at 4B00 for 2 weeks. Yesterday I called my dealer and they confirmed 4B00 with the last entry on 4/22. He said that they would call the Dealer Business Center to get more information and call me back, but I'm not holding my breath. This morning I checked on Chevy Chat and she said "waiting for a carrier to be assigned for transit" I also asked her for the code and she also said 4000. I've checked with Chevy Chat a few times and this only the second time that they would actually tell me the event code. They would always just say "waiting for transit" or "the transit process has begun", but when is ask them for the code they said that they can't release that, like its some big secret.


Hopefully mine is t in QC hold and it truly is just waiting for a carrier to pick it up.

I agree!

i am not sure, but they probably can build them faster than they can QC them, so it is likely a bottleneck. I just hope they are not building them so fast that they are careless and having a ton being rejected by QC...

Dealer called the DBC to check the status. Mine is still 4B00, but is out of QC and awaiting transport at New Boston. Becky explained the role of New Boston:

...New Boston is the Distribution Center...
