As long as your dealer has the vin you can complete the purchase of the car. If you are trading in a car you would be without one until yours showed up. This is what I plan to do. Not going to give up the po.

You have to have faith that your dealer will treat you right because you are, in fact, buying the car sight unseen.

Dealer just called me to let me know that my Camaro is in QC status and will ship as soon as it is released. No reason given. Well that sucks.

2 full weeks of quality hold now... I give it 1 more week. Everyday after that I'm actually going to get a little more pissed each day lol. It's terrible knowing your car is built and just waiting there. Especially when it's just a couple hours away from home!!

In the same situation here. Built 4/8.....I'm trying to picture it as 10 experts combing over my car and fixing any slight imperfection that is found. I'd say reality is more like 10 dudes checking 1,000 cars a week...a few minutes of attention each day maybe? Very frustrating indeed, but will be worth it if even 1 thing is fixed prior to delivery and and I don't have to immediately take it back to the dealer for something. On a side note, I got my daughter a RC Camaro power wheel that I just painted blue to match mine when it arrives. Super excited to mod both of them!

Yup!

Could you imagine paying $995 to have a package delivered by FedEx or UPS, and 17 days after it was produced, it's still just sitting there waiting to be picked up for delivery. At this point it's getting a little asinine.
