Yep. This thing would have smoked my 2007 GT when it was stock, and obliterated my 04 GT when it was stock lol....actually hell it would have probably ran down my 04 even with the mods I did lol.

Same with my 04 GTO. Car and Driver tested it as 0-60 in 5.3 sec and 14.0 @ 102 mph.

Yep, I test drove a V6 a couple of weeks ago and that thing would have run circles around my 4th gen WS6 Trans Am as well. Impressive car for only having 6 cylinders...

Way back when, even before reveal, I had it in my mind that if I liked the 6th gen and wanted one, I'd just get another V6. I liked my 5th gen, and I knew the 6th gen would be lighter and faster. I didn't "need" the V8. But I also had more money to spend, and I wanted the 2LT this time around with some options.
Then it dawned on me that a mostly loaded V6 would cost very near the same as a 1SS with a few options. When I found out the 1SS got the 8" driver's screen (REALLY wanted that), AND I could get supplier pricing...it was all over. Went with the SS. But I would've had no regrets getting the V6 either if I didn't want to spend what I did. Great car.
