Pros:

-The music section automatically recognized Amazon Music and I can select recently played stations and playlists just like from the app.

Cons:
-No Waze support.
-Phone in Car Mode so using Waze on road trips will be tough.
-Steering wheel voice button doesn't integrate as promised.

Overall I'm pleased. There are still some development issues, but I view them as minor. The GUI and UX are miles ahead of Apple Car Play.
For the steering wheel to work, hold the button down for 3 seconds.

The voice control button on the steering wheel. The one right next to the mute button

Did anyone else need a coupon? I've been told by two dealers they can't do it without a coupon code. Waiting on a call after the service rep talks to his manager...

That's ridiculous. Most here did not need a coupon.

Haven't checked in a while so are dealerships still taking 2 hours + to do the update?

I have never used the toolbox on my Galaxy s5, until now. You can load up to 5 widgets in the toolbox. the toolbox circle stays on the screen, no matter what you are doing on the phone.

This is great when Pandora or Adroid Auto takes over the phone.

I can still quickly access these widgets without interrupting AA

It's the little things that amuse me....

so after using AA for a while, can everyone say it's a safe replacement for any form of factory nav? Still thinking about getting the nav anyway just in case something happens with the AA program in the car or some other unforeseen circumstance.

Factory Nav is horrible..slow, incoherent, poor route options and always keeps your route ..so when you deviate on purpose, it does not re-route and go along with you .. it keeps thinking you are lost!! haha I LOVE using google maps on AA, and I was nervous..I was using a Garmin, fully programmed with likely over 200 addresses, work related, and didn't know how easy this would be to get set up. Voice rec is amazing...it is very easy to use and actually finds my locations I am going to..Apple Play and Apple maps was unusable for me..tried an iPhone while waiting for AA..I will NEVER but an Apple phone..

If you hit the left touch button on your phone that pulls up past apps, you can open any app while AA is on the screen.

One thing about google maps is it does require a connection to download certain information during your drive. It will download the information needed for your route upfront, but if you lost connection and had to detour it might not be able to course correct and wouldn't have high detail mapping of areas outside your route. That said, that's probably a pretty rare issue to run into, as long as you aren't way off the grid.

It's too bad to hear that the car NAV isn't great, the one feature I thought would be nice with built-in NAV would be the guidance indicators it shows on the heads-up display. There are a few other things like speed limit information, weather (with siriusXM and NAV).

So apparently according to my dealership you cant upgrade straight to the android auto version. You have to do the older update then you can do the AA one. They said they ran out of time at the dealership. so I have to bring it back in another day to do the second actual AA update.

Is this correct, or do they just not know what they are talking about.
