The sales manager actually told me "I need to re-arrange some deals in the pipe. We should be able to give you an indication soon".

Even that was a week ago.
Yes, I rec'd a decent deal on the car; however, I'm not going to be d!cked-around by a dealer over this.
Should I:
- be patient, and wait and try to work with them?
- go elsewhere and work on still getting a '16?
- go elsewhere and wait for a '17?

As this is to be a p/t pleasure car, I'm pissed at the thought of waiting until mid/late June, which now seems possible....

First off, don't waste your time with GM Canada Cust. Serv. it's a lost cause at every turn, take it from me I experienced it...I don't even know why they exist.

Do like Juventus did, stay in touch with the General Mgr of the dealership, IN PERSON, and don't accept anything less than hard copy info.

It looks like they've done their part for now. I'm just a little peeved, as it seems as though they screwed around for a few days (weeks) to this point.

Looking around in the "Order Status" thread, the waits are all over the place. Some move from 1100 within days. I saw one that took 4 1/2 weeks (based on peoples updates in their signatures).

On average it looks like 2-3 weeks to go from 1100 to 2000.

It really has nothing to do with trying to figure out an average. It has to do with the dealer has the allocation due to his sales volume. That can be from immediately, ( I got mine in 24 hours) to months......

Status 2051?
So, Scrape and I went to my dealer tonight, to chat with my sales guy, and check on my status.
As per him, it is now at 2051?

I see 2050, but no 2051, on the list of status codes.
Does anyone know what that means?
Do orders tend to move from that to 3000 quickly?

* In-addition: I did switch my wheels; When the car was still at 1100, I went from 56R to 56W. I can't see how that would matter, as the car wasn't "approved" or allocated yet, when that occurred.....?

Could be the wheels. Could also be some internal change and nothing to do with your specific order. The move from 2500 to 3100 to 3300 can happen on the same day. From 3300 to 3400 can take a few days and 3400 to built about a week.

Event codes are intended for internal use which is the greatest reason why they can be so confusing. Some, especially 4B00, have more than two meanings. The trouble is we do not know the context in which they appear.
