maybe they have recognized there is heat soak issue with the undersized sc and scrapped the idea of handicapping the camaro due to some outdated idea that corvette must have more hp...and they put in a 2.3liter sc....

yeah probably not

I hate to disappoint but I don't see that happening at all. GM very rarely raises HP on cars during its life cycle, unless it is a new sub model, IE ZR1. How often has it happened on the GM performance cars in the last 15-20 years? The C6 didn't have any, nor the V series, I don't recall previous Camaro doing it either. I expect the Z06 stays at 650 through the life of the C7, if it goes up it'll be like 5-10 hp nothing substantial.

Both 3rd and 4th gen had huge power gains throughout the lifecycle. I know that's at the far end of your timeline but it does happen : )

C6 did too. The 05 thru 07 was LS2 rated at 400hp in the base car. 08 introduced the LS3 at 430.

Agree with ya - I don't expect any big increases for the Z06 either but do expect a slight bump as you said, 5 to 10 maybe 15 HP - just so the new ZL1 can come into the 650+ slot and stay ahead of the 640HP CTS-V.

Ya that could happen, but I think it'll get the same rating as the V. It changed last time because the Lid was revised and ended up producing more power. I'd say it would be more likely that the ZL1 gets like 670 hp then prepare for the ZR1 (hopefully mid-engine car!).

Question for those who know more than me about this LT4 supercharger lid stuff. Is it easy to just change the lid to make the supercharger bigger and more efficient? I see people talking about the lid making the difference in the supercharger displacement.
