Wraps over wraps?

Go easy on me, I'm new to a lot of this customization stuff.

but I wanted to know: would it be possible to get a wrap job done over the factory rally stripes, or do the rally stripes have to come off before applying a new wrap? I don't want to lose the factory stripes, I just want to get my car wrapped matte black to protect the paint and stripes while changing up the look a little. I probably wont get the wrap job done for another year, but I want to know if it can be done to prepare.

thanks in advance, guys.

They should come off , but you can wrap over them if you want, they will show thru in height dimension. I'd pull them.

I figured if the wrap was put over they would be noticible, that's actually something I would like, kinda like ghost stripes.

but if I were to leave them on, would there be any risk of damage to the stripes when removing the wrap? would they bond together, or remain separated?

If careful, you can strip wrap over a stripe. But it won't look like a ghost, it'll look like a panty line ....LOL

lol hmmm well, I'm not convinced that a panty line is a bad thing lol.

say I do remove the factory stripes, would they be still usable? I like the metallic look on them, I don't want to lose them forever
