Not necessarily. Depending on what version of the room they are running. Each carrier puts their crap apps inside each Rom. Could be something as simple as an app interfering with AA. Would be interesting to see if an AOSP marshmallow Rom works with AA.

Update went smooth and works fine with S6 Edge. Took a couple of hours though to find what I thought was a rattle in the dash. What it was, was a fuel line retainer clip contacting the firewall driving me nuts.

OK so couple things. Initial behavior is bugged for marshmallow. Plugging in should initiate Android auto on the projection icon. This doesn't happen first try.

But do not fret. It is easy to fix. Click the projection icon while plugged in and it will initiate Android auto on your phone. From then on it works exactly as intended. Next time you connect it will be normal behavior. At least for Nexus. S7 users will have to chime in

So i spoke with Samsung and they referred me to Google for the Android App. Spoke to Google customer service and they had no idea there was a problem and sent the information to the developing team. Give an update if I get new information. Both Samsung and Google tried to diagnose it with no luck.

Could you request that GM would allow us to download and update ourselves? Would really ease alot of unnecessary trips to dealer.

Failed update

after 2 days my dealer hasn't been able to successfully update my radio. The first day failed with a "calibrate screen" error message, the second with TAC on the phone now we get nothing on the display and recommend a new radio that will most likely days to get. This is so disappointing with TAC admitting they've had a lot of issues flashing this update. Having paid 42K for a 2SS I expect more.

I wish, but will never happen. If someone downloads and installs the wrong firmware it will brick the system.

Been to 2 of 3 local GM Dealers so far. They finally are seeing the service bulletin. But both saying the don't have the update and that GM jumped the gun on the announcement.

If you're in Houston one day, stop by Parkway Chevrolet. I had no issues getting it

Got it done in the C7, took them about 90 minutes. Works as advertised. Some good reading for you guys here and here. Now I wish Waze would get updated to work with it. It's been supposed "on the way" for a couple months now.

Also, here is all the apps that currently work with Android Auto.
