Awesome guys, Thanks for the detailed write up! I want mine with the black housing and tubes. Will you also be supplying a tune for the intake??

Running "lean" over the course of the next 100,000 miles or so, what problems may happen? Will i ever have to worry about a CEL?

I'd love to see how much power can be had with this CAI, ported throttle body, MSD Intake Manifold, and a tune to tie it all together.

Awesome news! Glad to see you tried some of the items we discussed early on with no straightener and a larger filter. Overall the info provided is fairly shocking.

Did you by chance ever test the stock setup with just a filter replacement? I know your team put a lot of work into the design of the main tube, but did your dyno results provide any insight with how a filter upgrade performed. No... not a K&N flat filter, but a dome filter like you have on your design?

No kidding. By themselves they are just stepping stones and don't mean much till they all come together. That's when sh!t gets real! Haha

Any CAI that increases the MAF tube housing and does not implement any other compensation will lean out. You just can't increase the area and keep the same amount of air mass flowing over the sensor.

The AFR here isn't a risk. If you were to get a tune done your probably lean it out a comparable amount anyways.

Mishimoto did a great job paying attention to the MAF response. They can't change physics but they acknowledged the fundamental area of concern others have not discussed.

Mishimoto Camaro SS Performance Intake Development

I'd like to add that it's awesome that the car runs and drives ok with a 5" inlet. That was the finicky size range for the 5.0 Mustang, and the 4.5" made the car much happier, though there was a little WOT power loss. A 5" inlet almost guarantees this will never be a bottleneck on an NA motor.

Awesome. Thanks for sharing your findings!

The kit is going to look great, love the machined MAF housing. Would it be possible to offer a clear (acrylic or polycarbonate) top cover? I love having a visible cone filter - it's the Fast & Furious bro in me
