If I was daily driving it, I would want that. But for a weekend car, na. Heck, the stereo won't even be turned on that often in this car.

I live in Florida, no need for heated seats.

These are nice, but they can be purchased as an LPO option if you want them.

Again, I live in Florida, no need for this.

The SS 1LE comes with this standard, as you said.

Placement of this is kinda dumb, so I could care less about this. Plus, Car Play needs the phone to be plugged in I think.

Would be nice to have, but I don't have an issue keeping my remote in the glovebox as I usually do.

The 1SS (and therefore SS 1LE) has all these features but the dual zone, it is still automatic with the readouts. I have dual zone in my other car and have had before. Nobody really changes the other side lol...so no loss here.

I am glad it doesn't come with this. I do not like the way the door trim looks with the light channels and the whole disco lighting thing to me is cheesy. But, if you wanted it, it is an LPO option as well.

Pretty sure the 1SS has this trim, maybe the 1LT doesn't?

Well, the SS 1LE has suede and leather trimmed Recaro seats, which is a big step up there...to say the least.

They are still power adjustable, just not heated and auto dimming. Not a big loss there.

No desire for any of this in a non daily driver track car. There still is a back up camera though...so that is more then enough.

Plus let's remember all the extras the SS 1LE has that even a 2SS can not get...I am very happy with what is offered. IMO, it is just about perfect for what it is.

• The new FE4 suspension – a performance-oriented chassis system with specific tuning for the Magnetic Ride dampers, springs and stabilizer bars.
• Segment-exclusive electronic limited-slip differential
• Unique forged aluminum wheels
• Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires (285/30ZR20 front tires and 305/30ZR20 rear) with a compound and construction developed exclusively for the Camaro – offering exceptional grip on the track
• Brembo brakes with new six-piston monobloc front red calipers – featuring the 1LE logo – and two-piece rotors. Measuring 14.6 inches (370mm) in diameter, the front rotors are 7 percent larger than Camaro SS (not a factory option on the SS, only LPO)
• Suede steering wheel with shorter-throw shifter (suede covered as well)
• Satin black hood, front mirrors and unique three-piece rear spoiler
• Satin graphite front splitter and rear diffuser
• Available PDR video/data recording system.
Agreee on all points, except the stereo, and heated seats (living in a northern climate and all) If stereo is an option, I will move it up the consideration line, the more I look at the 1LE the more I like it

but as it looks right now, theres no major compelling reason to get a 2SS over a 1LE, especially if they can keep it at ~42000 with the package. That will put comparably equipped cars at too big of a price difference (4K without 6 pot brakes, 7K+ with them!) IMHO

Agree on that, but a hair dryer, some 3M mounting tape and 20 minutes of your time can take care of that. I plan on moving mine up to under the drivers side tail light.

As for a "far better engine" I believe that is a matter of preference...It is far more unique though

Only creature comforts the 1LE gives up are radio and spectrum lighting. 1LE still gets HUD and leather seats
And heated/center seats. And HomeLink garage door openers, blind spot detection, and dimming rear view mirror.

2- no blind spot monitoring
3- no cooled seats
4- wrapped hood
5- wheel gap
6- that green

My biggest gripe is that I want this car's rear-end in my 2SS
I think your comment on suede is probBly coming from someone who's never had sueded inserts in a car. They rock so I think you'll change your mind after you have them a while. I have them in my 370Z and I love them.

You know this complaining about options not being available on the 1LE goes beyond that car for me. It used to be that you could check off individual option boxes when ordering a car which wouldd truly allow you make it your own. That made for some very unique and rare automobiles. I miss those days.

I would love to not have to get leather seats just because I want all the other options.

Unhappy

Too bad that it will not come out also with the A8 transmission as an option, that was what kept me away of the prior 1LE, I needed an automatic transmission to be able to share my car with my wife.I hope that GM changes their mind to get additional sales.

Unfortunately I believe that adding some 1LE performance parts to an automatic SS is as close as your going to get. That is, if you don't spring for the 6th gen ZL1 which I'm sure with have A8 as an option.

Just teach your wife to drive a manual. My wife (who had no initial desire) got the hang of it after a few teaching sessions...
