Best Exhaust for v6

My local dealer only had a 1lt without the dual mode exhaust does anyone know if I can put it on after or what the best exhaust is for the v6?

Very good exhaust sound in their video of the V6 with NPP:

To find out? Have them eat something... call one of the thousands of dealers around to "find out"

Or...chevy corp..

From Chevrolet, this is your only choice. It is not a two mode exhaust, it is a single mode performance exhaust , not released yet , approximately 850 according to cultrag

You'd have to be out of your mind to pay $850 for a pair of mufflers. Better your money than mine.

Still don't know why you were forced (per your other post) into a LT without NPP in the first place. Plenty of cars and dealerships to work with. I feel bad for you and the fact that you didn't get the car you wanted. The answer is in another post: the dealer can't install it.

I couldn't wait for a v6 1lt to be ordered with npp. Seems like dealers around me only ordered them on the V8's.

That being said, if i'm spending close to a thousand on aftermarket exhaust, it's gonna be cat-back at least and do more than just change the exhaust note. I ended up getting a car with the $800 technology pkg, so the only audio I really care about hearing is the awesome sounding bose system or the little V6 screaming it's way to 300hp if i'm not blasting tunes. It's not going to ever sound like a V8 so i'm not too concerned with trying.

Thank You, coming from a fellow new 2016 Camaro V6 owner who did not get the NPP exhaust either. Totally agree with you, no matter how much money you spend on a new exhaust system for the V6 it still is missing 2 things...............Cylinder 7 and Cylinder 8................You could put that money on something else, like other accessories for your new Camaro, blade spoiler, splitter, etc.............

I love the sound of the NPP on the new Gen. Although it isnt the end of the world if you dont have it. I honestly dont know much about how the exhaust looks on the Gen6 v6 without NPP, but hopefully it doesnt look to different from the the 5th gen v6. Those who have visited the camaro5 LFX/LTT forums, will see that most have a muffler delete with a resonated x pipe set up. Im not sure if the same resonated x pipe would fit the 6th gen, but I would sure be one of the first to try it if I had a 6th gen v6. Thats how I started with my car, but later on decided to go towards a louder direction. This is what my car sounds like right now with the magnaflow resonated x pipe, muffler/resonator/2nd cat delete with MRT v1 mufflers.

Although some wouldnt want to cut up thier stock exhaust, it could be cheaper than paying 850 for a pair of mufflers. Hopefully this can help out and give some ideas to those without the NPP! Best of luck to everyone!

YOur car sounds great Luis, MRT now has some exhaust options for the 16, my question now is 1200$ for the full system, or 600 for the axle backs. I like the sound of the V2. I am curious, and haven't received a response yet, about the difference in power gains between the two.

Not sure you will see one without a tune.
