if I were in the market for a fuel efficient t4 that could give me performance bragging rights as soon as I leave the lot, I'd go with the mustang. Camaro has an uphill battle this year. here's hoping. they need the boost

Yes, they can't force a dealer to only sell at MSRP or below..but there can be "issues" reissuing allocations until the ADM cars sell... |

Why would anyone want to void their warranty for a small boost? the people who care about fuel economy and want the t4 aren't looking to risk losing their warranty. a few tuners, yes, but tuners aren't the majority.
if I were in the market for a fuel efficient t4 that could give me performance bragging rights as soon as I leave the lot, I'd go with the mustang. Camaro has an uphill battle this year. I heard awhile back that Ford Racing was going to offer a tune for the Ecoboost Mustang that would not void the warranty. Has anybody heard anything about this recently? It would be great if Chevrolet Performance would offer stage kits for the T4 Camaro (that would also not void the warranty). |

Camaro also needs more attractive lease deals imo, 6-700 a month for a 2ss is just way too high, you can almost get a m3 or m4 for that much loll

If you can show me where to get a new M4 with no money down for near $700, I'll buy it right now. I've been quoted around $1k with 12k miles on a moderately loaded 2016 M4 which is what I would compare a 2SS to as far as options are concerned.

Have you seen one Camaro Commercial? Nobody knows there is a new car out. Have you seen Mustang commercials. Yes Lets give it a chance when GM runs commercials and cars hit the lots and show rooms. My dealer has 2, but neither are in the showroom, they have 2015 z28 and 6 vets, but no Gen6 Camaros in the showroom

I'm seeing this very differently. Mark my words. Camaro will be ahead in sales by June.
Those reports speak volumes. I would bet that the GM bean counters are very pleased with that result. Last edited by motorhead; 02-02-2016 at 10:45 PM. |

It will be ahead, I agree but people need to know there is a new Camaro. We know it because we are gear heads and Camaro lovers. GM needs everybody else to know and then the fireworks begin. Mustang will get sucked up in the dust of the Camaro as they will on the dragstrip and all other racing.

Why would Chevy be advertising heavily now? They already can't get them out of the factory fast enough. Once production catches up, then you'll see the marketing show up. Satisfy the early adopters that have been waiting for this for a long time, and then go after the general public. It just makes sense from a money standpoint. No reason to spend the money advertising when you already can't keep up.

Not sure if anyone addressed this or not, but remember the Camaro was out of production for 8 years which caused a lot of pent up demand. It's my opinion that it took years for that demand to work it's way through. We are now there and what will determine the future of the Camaro will be new first time Camaro buyers mostly under 35 who will hopefully become repeat buyers.
