When I went to order my car the sales person said the blade spoiler is free, not sure if it was a glitch in the system or?...

How is that even near close ?

Dude, did you even read my post??? As i said i was building it "as close as I could" given the time i ordered. Certain things are going to have to wait due to availability.

Rally stripes - I declined because I want better ones (i don't like that Chevy doesn't put them on the roof and all the way down)
Amber Lights - AS i said in my post - will have to do it afterwards as they are not available from GM.
Blade Spoiler - Ordered with car
GFX & grille inserts- Not available at time of order. will add when available
Dark Taillights - Not available at time of order. Will add when available.

The "Black" emblems are a throwaway to me.. i will probably just get some black SS emblems.

Yes I did read it, you said "I built mine......". Built is past tense.

I was just about to ask if the blade is a direct fit replacement or if it requires drilling new holes. This is probably a rhetorical question but why would the blade spoiler not be designed to utilize the existing holes from the stock spoiler?

go look at a stock ss spoiler, it is held on at three attachment zones, the blade needs to be anchored all the way across...so some need to be drilled. The RS spoiler does run all the way across, so all the blade the holes are utilized now and no drilling.

I didn't realize the blade needed to be attached at more than three points but thinking about it now makes sense. I suppose if I were installing the blade with no intention of removing it in the future I wouldn't worry too much about the new holes.

Absolutely… I'm not saying that all the holes need to be drilled , it certainly will stay down with thin VHB tape and three or four anchor points. This is not Daytona.

This will be the ultimate question, but I suspect the blade will utilize all existing SS spoiler holes and not leave any exposed holes or require body work beyond drilling.

I don't have an SS to check and verify where and how the spoiler is attached, but I'm assuming its one screw per stanchion?
