Cat delete on NPP
I want to take the cats off for added sound on a v6, is there anything I should know before doing it, and would it have any negative affect on the npp system?

It will throw a CEL for the missing cats, but that can easily be tuned out. As far as the NPP it will work as normal, just alittle louder.

Not a good idea in Cali. Could cause other issues also. Should of had a V8.

No smog inspection for 5 years when new and even then nothing knowing a few people can't fix. Just don't act a fool and get ref'd. I daily drove a 650rw Turbo 4th Gen SS with dumped exhaust and never once had an issue.

So I did the the cat delete on a 2ss and cut out the 2nd cats also there were no cel at all. The car is loud a Lil raspy in the rpm range but sounds good lost a bit of bottom end.

Did a quick check with a lot of the muffler shops in my area (Reno/Carson City) and nobody will touch the job. All say it's a $2500 fine (nationally) if they get caught doing it. Any suggestions?

Found several hot rod shops that will do it. I guess you need to use a 2 3/4" stainless pipe or it might through a code. Anyone confirm?
