Cool A couple of issues

I had gotten tired of bs from local dealer with car I ordered so I scored a summit white,2ss, with black interior from another dealer 60 miles away.... worth it, only sacrificed my first choice of hyper blue, oh well.... anyway, when I was looking over car, I noticed drivers seat wouldn't recline, told dealer who apologized profusely but I wasn't backing out for that, it was basically in position I would sit in anyway,lol... notice for big people that seats are fairly comfy but where it bows up closer to drivers side door kind of digs in to my outer thigh, what can I do about it, really became apparent on long ride home... btw, car I preordered is still in transit,lol....

Wasn't there another just delivered Camaro that is also having issues with the driver seat reclining?

Yes, but that the recline function worked but was more limited than the poster was used to. Can not remember who the poster is.

I've read about 3 or more cars now having a seat recline issue.

I think its by design. There is very little recline on the seats. I started a post when I got mine and basically everyone that has gotten one agrees that there is very little recline. I drive with my as far back as possible and would prefer a few inches more.

I thought the same thing when I checked one out at the dealer, but he was able to do something that let it go back further and made the seat back less upright.

I think the seat bottom and back only move back so far, then there is a way tilt the entire chair back that gives more leg room and makes the back rest less upright.

I'm not describing it very well, but when the chair was in the position you guys were describing (seat back, back rest reclined), my knees hit the dash. After the sales guy made the adjustment, I was able to fit in the car without issue.

the bucket on the seat is completely independent of the back. I have had cars that if you adjust the bucket the back went too but this seat doesnt move that way.

I have the same issue with the seat. Mine will not recline and my Ambient Lighting was not functioning at all. The car is back at the dealership getting the glow-tie installed and the then having the above two issues checked out. I will post in here with the results.

Why the hell would the seat not recline ATW. I know this isnt the 1st example of this issue. Seems it is by design. But WHY?

Hey

If this is by design, it's pretty dumb... should be up to individual consumer how he wants to sit.... sorry to hear bout ambiant lighting problems, mine is good, though I wish they illuminated floorboards... love to have disco show when driving,lol.... settled for silver wheels, gonna switch to black soon.... make the summit white pop more, maybe black rally stripes.... gonna go to my dealer with seat issue, I will post what he says... although, he isn't happy with me, I cancelled my preordered car a few days ago and he pouted,lol.... btw, preordered car is still in transit... I made the right call I believe.... he found out what happened, it was on the truck and they couldn't find paperwork, wow, I would've been screwed, lol

Im finding the spectrum lighting a little bit distracting at night. But Ive only drove it once at night, so I am sure ill get used to it.

Well got the car back this morning and here are the updates:

1. Seat Recline issue is not an issue and it is only made to go back that far. I sat in a LT the dealer had not he lot and the seat goes back slight farther so we looked at it together and it seems that it does not go back as far as the LT because of the ventilated seats. The difference between the LT seats and mine is maybe a few degrees, just barley noticeable.

2. Ambient Lighting: The fuse was loose.... works great now.
