Warning to those using OnStar to track shipment. You CAN kill your battery. I was happily watching my car for 2 days go East from Indiana to Iowa (on the way to CA), then it just stopped and I haven't been in contact for 2 days now. My suggestion is to hit it sparingly, couple times a day at most, if you want it to last for the duration. It is very exciting to watch it move toward home, and equally it sucks when it quits reporting. I've even imagined the train derailing and going over a cliff, lol.

I only check it 2 or 3 times max a day, trying to not drain the battery.

It could have gone to deep sleep that will cause it to quit talking via onstar. You could try to remote start it thru the app and see if that kicks it on and starts the gps communication.

Also if is still on a train, might lose signal in a metal train car!
