PERFORMANCE section?

Its inevitable, but I see chassis, electronics, and vs section. Are we ready to get rolling on a Performance section yet? The engine being essentially a carryover from the C7, should have enough history/experience about it that (even without the actual car) we should be able to have discussions regarding mods and products. I dont know much if ANYTHING about the LT1, short of output. I figure it could help to familiarize us all with the upcoming offerings. I4, V6, and V8 alike.

I called already and talked to a lady and she told me to expect the price for everything out the door is...wait for it... $15-25k. This was about a month ago though so there may be a more exact price, and maybe not.

Seriously guys. These companies are insane. Lingenfelter, Hennessey, Shelby... I wanted a performance section for REAL WORLD mods- CAI, cams, headers, FI, juice, etc... The things people actually DO.

I suppose the NEW Heartbeat S/C would be a good start. What about Whipple for LT1?

I have some options that are going to mature in about 3.5 years... should be just enough for a S/C Can. Not. Wait!

Just wait & be patient. In time I'm sure we'll have sections for engine/exhaust/bolt ons as well forced induction just like we've got on Camaro5. And probably a DIY/How To section & even a 'Shop Build Showcase' section as well.

The other recent sections popped up here because there has been a decent amount of talk come up for those areas as of late. But performance mods almost require people to have cars in hand before any meaningful discussion can take place.

If you want to learn more about the Corvette LT1 in the meantime, head over to Corvette7 & see what they've been doing. Just use the same login over there as you do here (same as with Camaro5).
