Unhappy

So this is what I want in my Camaro:
  1. 2LT - $30795
  2. RS package - $1950
  3. Convenience and Lightning Pkg - $2800
  4. V6 engine - $1500
  5. Dual Exhuast Mode - $895
  6. Yellow Paint - $395
  7. 20" Machine Face Gray Wheels - $200

This car is going to cost me ~$38.5k... Am I the only one who thinks that GM has got their pricing wrong somehow..

I have waited 3 years to buy a camaro and now when I can afford it.. they come out with this ridiculous pricing ...I am just very sad..

Nah it's 2015, cars are getting more expensive, more tech, more safety costs more money. No way around it

You would be paying close to that if you were to go and get one soon as they come out. Give it a few months and dealers will start dropping prices.

Those loaded Silverados with $50k stickers don't leave the lot for more than $35k with all the discounts they run on them.

If I can't get the same discounts on a 2SS you better damn well believe I deserve to be treated like a BMW owner.

Good luck. There's more profit to be had in a Silverado than in a niche car.

Do you have the pricing for the 5 split spoke black wheels?

56F is the code I think.

She probably won't know until we are able to get our hands on invoices.

So,
it seems a LOT of people here are hopelessly optimistic about the "negotiability" of these prices. Someone - PLEASE let us know when you are successful at reducing the price significantly via your "negotiation" techniques.

Just as many people seem to be saying "no way" to the new prices....

Being a new model year I really doubt people will be getting much of a deal on the 6th gen.

I really hope this is not the case. I can understand that strategy for Cadillac, aspiring to be a top tier luxury brand. But GM produced a CTS that was superior to the previous generation, increased prices through the roof, and you could hear crickets in the Cadillac showrooms. Johann is working to correct this through brand perception.

Chevy is the "bread and butter" of GM. I hope this pricing strategy for the Camaro doesn't come back to bite them on the a**.
