Maybe they think their car is every bit as good as the BMW 4 series. Also note, to get some of the features already included in the 2SS, you would need to add 7-8k to your 4 series. Just throwing that out there. I know that doesn't help you sleep at night though.

We didnt know if you get 2 sets of wheels this guarantees 1 set basically.

When i built my "Dream 1LE" it was $46,970 so i guess that isnt bad if im building it correct...
The 2SS comes with the Y4Q standard. You only need to pay if your don't get an SS. So knock $485 off your total.

@Becky whe the prices are released how long does it take before it uploads into your systems to see at the dealer. Just got off the phone with my sales guide and he said no pricing is known yet a cording to there systems? Could this be regional diffrnece where it slowly roles out across the country?

It will be very interesting to see how demand is for 2016's mid next year, that is about the time I will be ready to buy. This appears to be similar to GM's strategy with Cadillac to sell fewer cars at a higher margin.

I don't work for a dealer and I managed to find it. It's GMPricing.com but you need the right credentials to get in.

Tell him this:

Exactly, my '14 328i sport with tech pkg and premium pkg stickered for $50k and doesn't have many of the things the 2SS has standard. It's high for a Camaro, but a bargain compared to a slower in every respect 4 series.

I have mixed feelings on this price. Yes, it is high - that's not crazy talk. But, you get a lot for your money.

Am I the only one who misses the day when you could just say you wanted the leather seat option for $500? Now I am forced into buying expensive package bundles. GM isn't the only company to do this. It is industry wide, but this model of packaging doesn't fit all consumers.

I am still going to get mine, but I am not really feeling good about it. That's not how I should feel, right?

So to get a 2SS with the ZL1 feel (Magnetic Ride Control and NPP exhaust) your looking at around 46k.

That's really not bad, lets see if it can post times like the ZL1. I just paid 51k for my ZL1, so right around the same as a new SS.

The BIG question is will dealers mark up the new SS, according to my dealer there going to mark them up 2-3k...

What if all dealers mark up? My prediction is every dealer is going to mark up the SS and get very small amounts of them.

Look at the chevy and GMC colorado and Canyon, those stupid mid size trucks were selling for 34k with marks up!! and each dealer had 1 or 2 at a time max.

They'd better not. That kind of markup = GT350 price. I'm not sure they took competition as seriously as they should have.

At the end of the day, the main drive for people to purchase a Camaro is power/performance/aesthethics/price combination. It seems somewhere in this 6th gen GM focused mostly on luxury upgrades. I think this is showing in the price more than the performance boost is.

I'm not trying to bad mouth them as I am a die hard Camaro fan. But, young males are the target demographic for this car. Young males might not care so much about wireless charging, ventilated seats, a new-fangled HVAC system, 3 radiators, etc as they will 20ish more HP than a Mustang for $10K less.

This will be an interesting experiment.

Then contact Becky here and order from her. Her dealer won't do markups, that's one.
