Hit & Run aftermath
So, this happened in Yakima, WA...
Kid rear ends an older gentleman, then tries to flee the scene. Tries to elude the older guy who's following him. When he's cornered behind a big-box store, this happens... Apparently, attempting to pull someone out of a car and/or taking a persons keys is concidered "road rage" according to the person who uploaded the video (sister/girlfriend?) After police came, they "talked it out" and no charges were filed.

Both drivers agreed to not file charges.
In doing my own research, the kid would have received a Gross Misdeanor, which has a 0-364 day jail sentence and a 0-$5000 fine. My biggest question here is more to police officers. Some people are claiming the older guy could have been charged with Aggravated Assault. I see simple Assault & Battery, if that. The older guy tried to wrestle him from the car to keep him from continuing to drive away...gave up, and just took the keys. He then de-escalated the situation by walking away with the keys.
