I've been using this for over 4 years now.
It's call power-line network kit.
It allows you to use your electrical outlet as a 10/100/1000 network communication without drilling or running wires all over your home.

The one that i'm using is from CISCO.
It offers signal from on gigabits network.
This is important because you won't be able to go faster than 25MBPS on conventional 10/100.
You'll also need to use Cat-6 cables or Cat-5e.
Basically which ever room you need a connection, you can plug one of these in and you're set
There are currently no wireless module for the gigabit network.

Will have to check that out. Something has to change, this is silly for what I am paying.

Some sockets work better than others using that... so if your signal strength isn't that great using the first wall plug, try another in the room.

I've been in IT for years, though I took the last 2 years off to travel and enjoy life for a bit.

I'm moving back to Seattle and am already job hunting at this point. My last job was doing Database Management (SQL), primarily focusing on Document Imaging. Involved setting up and maintaining servers and databases. Previous, I've pretty much done it all from programming (RPG2, COBOL, BASIC, Pascal, C, C+, C++, Java, HTML and more) to computer operations (Mostly Data General, though I was trained in IBM System 370. Also done System Admin stuff and Desktop Support.

I think my handle gives me away. However, I try to unplug from technology as much as I can, it is a two-edged sword if u don't respect it.
