Sick of the Camaro/mustang look alike comparisons?
I don't even understand! They look nothing alike except that maybe they are both pony cars, aggressive, sleek, and modern. They look nothing alike!!!!!!
Does anyone else agree is this just fueling the fire? |

I agree but my one buddy that isn't a car guy just told me that the new Camaro looks like a charger. I told him that he must be nuts. I don't get it.

It all depends on what you're used to seeing. It happens all the time. When you are used to looking at Chevy's, or pony cars, or American cars in general, the differences between the Camaro & Mustang are pretty obvious. But if you are used to midsize sedans, or imports, or some other segment of the market its hard to look past the long hood/short deck profile that the Camaro & Mustang share because that's their single most obvious feature that sets them apart from most other cars.

I also don't get the criticism from the Ford camp the gen6 looks too much like gen5. No Mustang ever strayed far from the original fastback. To my eye, the gen6 Camaro evolved as far from gen5 as did the recent Mustang.

I see the original 4-door Charger in the quarter window area.
Look at this pic of a Charger, especially the back of the back door window. ![]() Looks awfully similar to the Camaro quarter window, the way it kicks up. And not all people think it looks like a Mustang. My brother, who is knowledgeable about cars, thinks it looks like a Celica from certain angles. He thinks it certainly looks Japanese. The inventory manager at my local Chevy dealer thinks it looks like a Cobalt. Look, it doesn't really matter if the car looks like another car or not. If people THINK it does, then it does. It's the whole "perception is reality" thing. I'm glad so many of you guys like the car. But to me, it lost it unique-ness. What made it a Camaro. Plus it's too soft with some goofy styling features (the quarter window and surrounding area).

I've been told that I have a nice Mustang about a dozen times in a year. At first I was like
![]() . Now I'll say , it's a limited production model A compliment is a compliment

Idk I enjoy the rivalry, it's just the ford fanboys I don't like. The true gearheads out there are respectful and make sense when they talk. Unbiased, from a competitors point of view. The fanboys have no idea what they are talking about but love to run their mouth. Lol those r the ones I cNt stand. Same wth the f150 guys.
