Well...we know something is coming. We all saw the pictures of the 6th gen SS testing with the extended front splitter. Also, there is the strong rumor of a wider bodied Camaro coming. 1LE? Z/28?? ZL1? Who knows.

Yep.
If GM built that car like I listed, I would buy it. Other than that, I'm not sure I would upgrade. I love my 1LE and the limited nature of the 1LE package.

Here's the Camaro with the splitter. Could be a 1LE package testing. Could be the ZL1 or Z/28.

"strong" rumor may have been a bit much...there is about zero information on it.
But a member here ( think its Z284ever or something like that) replied to a comment before the reveal. The comment was something about wishing for a wide-body version of the car, and Z28 replied that he'd get his wish. Not sure who this member is or what he does, but when he makes a prediction, they seem to come true so I listen when he speaks lol. Maybe he just meant wide body...as in it would be slightly wider than the ATS and that's all it was, but I took it as more than that.

Bare bones 6th gen 1LE should be an LS7 with 6 piston brakes for $50 to 53k with better pricing for perephials (RS/dual mode/recaros)
That's how GM can make some cash on the track guys right off the rip with a 16 1LE....while deriving a better ZL1/28 engine platform in 18 or 19. 16 lighter..already has magnetic ride..plug in off the shelf stock parts and let a late availability (spring 16) 1LE rip. Make it available for 3 months with shelf parts and see what the response is...guarantee that GM would get 1500 orders.

I think that it might come with an equivalent or the Z51 Stingray with the Magnetic shocks suspension, Competition seats (like on Stingray's) & squared 285's tires w/. 10"-11" all around light weight wheels and maybe a stronger N/A V8 with some aerodinamic goodies to beat the GT350 at the track.
