Either way, my reaction would probably be:
They made an AWD camaro...? That's weird, doesn't seem right...
And then I'm sure I'd love it hahaha

AWD would still add significant amounts of weight and complexity. Not that it will never come, but I think it will not come before CF and polymers are affordable to keep the same type of price point and weight. If the Camaro adds AWD and moves up to Challenger weight to do so, it defeats the purpose.

I agree. I'm just playing devil's advocate.

If an SS is 3700ish pounds, AWD would put it no more than 3900, far lighter than a Challenger.

Launch would be awesome and even at that weight a performance biased AWD system, i.e. Audi would smoke a Mustang. Look at what a near 4,000 pound Audi RS5 does with less HP and torque than an LT1.

Look I have max respect for those hanging on to history and that a Camaro should only be what it ever was. Just suggesting this is an opportunity to lead and run hell bent for the future and redefine What a Pony car is and can be.

What would I like to see?

Mmm.....

1) Hover technology
2) Holographic Infotainment system
3) A railgun mounted in the headlights to deal with traffic
4) Transition tint w/ electrochromic color changing frosted glass
5) Automatic hamburger creator

LTx with 550hp naturally aspirated.. It will prove once again emmisions wont kill off the pushrod technology.

1LE option from the start.

Lower base weight.

Recaro seats or equivalent as an option

For number 4, there's already a tint available that gets darker when hit by direct sunlight, and lightens up when in the shade or at night. Its called PhotoSync.

About number three, wouldn't that just create bigger traffic jam, disabling the car in front of you? How about this...Mylink has a hacking app that hacks into their ecm and with it you can speed them up, or move them over so you can get past them? That would be fun.
