This is from the tech bulletins on the C6 Corvette. So I guess my answer is No...

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that GM is recalling 22,090 C6 Corvettes that have the optional removable roof panel. The recall concerns a failing adhesive that secures the outer portion of the roof panel to the roof frame. The recall will correct problems associated with the roof panel, including water leakage, increased wind noise, poor fit, and, in extreme cases, complete separation of the panel.

No where to put the top. You'd end up with the Solstice hard top where you had to leave the top at home and carry a cheesy soft top that installed in place of the hard top.

None that I know of.

Because the government classifies the t-top as a coupe which has more stringent requirements than a convertible and the targa top is classified as a convertible. Now in 2016, I think convertibles have to also pass the pole impact (google it...........it's very severe) but roof strength is still the main issue to overcome.

I would guess that GM made the room bubbles more pronounced to help address the complaints about head room and sight lines.

Convertibles usually have sub frame connectors for added strength too due to chassis flex from the lack of fixed roof.

Targa top would be nice

T tops would be unreal. I would by a 6th solely for that reason (scold me go ahead) but T-tops are bad ass. I can't explain the feeling of when your riding in the car with those tops off and that beam running down the centre gives a rugged feel

Dude don't feel bad!! They can scold me too!! My mother in law (R.I.P) had a 1990 Formula Firebird with the T-Tops. That thing was bad-ass!!! My wife and I talk about that car all the time!!!

I don't think the Camaro would have the required storage ability to stash a panel that big. Couldn't fit it in the trunk, and even if it had a hatch, the back seat would prevent it. Would be cool though.

They've been doing the targa on the Vette since 1984. Most of the reported squeaks can be fixed with a simple latch adjustment. My '96 never made a sound, but it was a full bolt in apllication.

Sun roofs are worthless, period. The Camaro makes a nice looking convertible, sure. However, many prefer the look of the coupe compared to the vert with the top up.
