Like them or not (I don't FTR), I would like someone to explain to me the decision to change the taillights of several cars to mimic the 10-13 lights, and then change those same lights to something completely different. I mean, when they introduced the Malibu, they actually stated it's new taillights were Camaro inspired. Changing them to their current look made no sense to me at all.
To me, the reason the 10-13 taillights are better is because no matter how far away I am from one, I KNOW it's a Camaro. The latter ones require a closer look because there are several cars that have that same shape.

Yeah, look how well that's done for Malibu...
One of the biggest exterior design complaints is that the rear looks disjointed from the rest of the car. It's like they had one team design from the front to the B-pillar and another from the B-pillar back and mashed them into one car.

Only thing that bothers me about the rear of the refresh is that giant plastic diffuser, which it appears they have fixed on the 6th gen. I prefer the 10-13 tail lights but I don't think the 14-15 tail lights look bad at all.

The rear end as a whole of the Camaro you are referring too looks nothing like the 14-15 Camaro, only the tail lights do (I now know that, and will give you credit for that). I'm not sure how you guys don't see that the rear of the 14-15 Camaro looks like a Prelude. The trunk shape and opening are similar, the bumper shapes are similar, and the tail light shapes are similar. |

...And I'm sure the 6th Gen '16 Camaro's tail-lights will remind someone of the tail-lights on some other car.....and???....so what??....Comparing tail-lights over a 50-60 year period is bound to look similar to something else to some degree....
I'm so over this tail-light bs....I hope we don't have to suffer through another round of this with the 6thGen like we have, and apparently still doing, with the 5thGen.... I never knew what Prelude tail-lights looked like until a few years ago....Never knew what a Ford Focus front end looked like until the new Mustang....It's ridiculous.... I like the Mustang, and I like the Camaro, regardless of any other model... I hope we don't have to suffer through another round of this with the 6th Gen... Take the Camaro tail-lights for what they are by themselves and call it a day... |

Prelude? GM obviously ripped off the H2 rear end for the refresh.

I stated an (unpopular) opinion, and a dozen people had something to say about it. My next comment simply stated why I hold the opinion that I have for the 14-15 Camaro.
Then all the old guys got butt hurt, and now we've reached a point that the douche above me is using hyperbole to compare a Hummer to a coupe. Bravo everyone. Guys that drive muscle cars have a very poor reputation, and I'm starting to see why. I've had quite a few people make a comment to me about the people that buy the cars that I was considering purchasing. I thought they were just making stereotypes and being ignorant, but apparently there's some merit to the remarks. |

GENTLEMEN - the name "Camaro" means 'friend' - 'pal' or 'comrade' -- that's why the car was named Camaro.....so let's remember that rather than to resort to name-calling.

You can keep giving your opinion but don't get upset when people disagree with it and it would never get to this point.
