Let's hope not. I was figuring at least $200K and probably $250K. Either way, I can't afford one but I would love to see one driving around town. At $400K I don't think that will happen LOL! The rich guys around here would just buy a Lambo or Ferrari.

At $400k it'll run into Lexus LF-A syndrome.

I was told that they weren't going to be that much, but since used Ford GTs are bring that kind of money after being sold by Ford for $150k, I can see it.

Yeah, the no-resale lease BS would probably kill it for a lot of people.

I don't think the GT is going to have a problem selling at any reasonable price. Certainly won't struggle to sell like the LF-A thing.
There are 250 people (assuming the 250 a year thing is correct) out there who would buy these cars up year after year based solely on the fact that it's a Ford GT. Argue all you want, but Chevy could do a limited run Corvette that demanded a price tag like that, and if the performance and exclusivity are there, then they'll be gone in a heart beat. EDIT: Maybe I guess. But I know if I had the kind of dough laying around that allowed me to buy a 400K dollar toy...it wouldn't matter what the damn car did. I'd buy it on principle alone.

This. I had the car around 300k when I saw they were bringing it back. The GTs went up in value like crazy. Why wouldn't Ford charge this much and the market is clearly there to support it?

If it is hand made by an outside contractor out of mostly carbon fibre ... I can see it costing a huge amount, regardless of what customers would be willing to pay for it. That also severely handicaps production volume as race shops like Multimatic simply don't build cars by the thousand.
