MS doesn't have a lottery.... My Aunt won her 25th anniversary C3 back in the day. It's been rotting in a carport for 20 years....

My uncle won $1m in 1986 in Detroit. Hasnt worked a day since. Just sits at home and trades stocks all day. He must be pretty damn good at it to have not worked for 30 years. Lol!

He must be becuase a Mil is not that much money anymore, but if you invest right and not blow it you can!

In 1986, $1mil was the equivalent to having $2,132,195.79 today.

30yr Treasury Bonds were around 8%, that would've been a great purchase for a guaranteed income stream! Unless of course he did better with the stock market, which was very possible. The S&P500 compound annual growth rate from 1986 to today was 10.64%. Each dollar invested would've been worth $16.95 today, before inflation.

I wish I would've started investing in 1986....I was only 4, but still.

My neighbour in the house right behind us won $10 million a few years ago and here in Canada they give you a check for the full amount, no taxes or catches !!
He bought a ZR1 and a Harley the first week, then moved shortly after.....I hate the sob !! lol
I won $2400 once.

lottery is a scam my friends. You'll have higher chances of getting struck by lightning than winning. Save your money and put in compounding investment, the money you wasted on lottery will add up and make you a richer person at the end of the day.

3 houses in my neighborhood have been hit and burned to the ground in the past year. Maybe I should buy one lol

I had a couple that were clients of mine. Had won a State lottery (multi-millions). Lived in a modest two story house, drove nice cars but nothing 'luxury'. I think they won it early enough in life they figured out they could live on it, travel, etc without having to work another day. It seemed a lot like how I would milk the winnings to afford early retirement. Heck, I wouldn't even need all of a million to do that.

I usually call it a tax on people who are bad at math.

In 2013 I won approx $11,000 (daily number, not scratch tickets). Hoping I get lucky, just purchased a bunch of these.

Not the lottery, but I've hit a could $1000 plus jackpots while I liked in Vegas. I didn't pay out of pocket for food or drinks while I lived there. I was pretty good about winning just enough to cover my bill when ever I went out. lol. I would regular go to the bar in put in money while I was waiting for food, put $20 in and cash out between $40 and $80 by the time my food came.
