Two weeks ago a Camaro had his car in reverse and instead of going down the track he went backwards. I am scared I will make the mistake and people will laugh at me.

An there was a V6 who got a 17-something. 17????? I would be embarrass to run a 17 something

You are over thinking things which will def cause problems. Just pull up to the line and floor it when the light turns green. Once you do that once or twice you will be comfortable and can then start tweaking your launch techniques. Don't worry about your time. I was at the track once and a challenger srt was running mid 16s

When I raced in NC it was a lot of fun and everyone was very supportive, but I have a feeling I wont get that tonight.

Already get crap for driving a 6 and an auto at that, they might be joking but it is hurtful. If I could've afford a V8 I would have gotten a V8. I wish people would stop putting me down because of finances.

There will be a lot of critical people there and that is all I will say online

Has anyone in here purchased from Elite Engineering directly? I know they are a stand-up company, but FFS, I've been waiting for something I ordered on May 5th to ship. The Order Status feature on their website doesn't work, their website messaging yields no response. I have a PM to them now and will likely send an email later. Has anyone had a similar experience??

Jewel, Just wait until you beat a few of them. They won't be laughing anymore then. It can happen. Don't let them get you down. Just have fun!!!!

I have not purchased from them directly but got a very quick response via email when I was sent the wrong bracket for my catch can. I had already cut the tubing & it was my daily driver back then. It was on a holiday & they responded in minutes & sent out the correct part immediately. We found an alternate way to mount it temporarily until it arrived & it was all good.

Sorry I've never dealt with them before.

My buddy did that! He went too far and had to reverse to stage and I guess he forgot to put it back into drive and when we took off his car went straight back. Didn't say anything until we found out everything was ok. Then he received a few obligatory jokes
I think you care way too much what others think. Like kj said put it in sport, pull up to the line, and take off when you see that last yellow light up. Launch and burnout can be practiced later. Just have fun with it at first
