Weapon Forums?

Well I have always been around different kind of weapons and enjoy hunting and self defense.
My family is full of different kinds of rifles, pistols, revolvers, etc.
But I know my knowledge is limited and would like to expand my brain with more information lol
I own a 270 Remington model 700 rifle with a Leopold scope. I recently got my hands on a Glock G23 .40 cal Gen4
my next purchase is split between a 1911 or an AR?!
So I have decided to ask for any forums you all know about, since I know most about my Camaro through this site, didn't think it would hurt to ask.

Im nowhere near an expert but, What are your plans with your next purchase? Just go out and have a good time shooting?
I love my 1911 and would love to get a SIG556. I have the .22 version and its pretty fun and cheap to shoot.

Prices last time I checked were $1.00 per round for .223 and $0.40-0.50 per round for .45 rounds

That being said if you're anything like me you'll get both eventually. So go with what you feel first. If you can go shoot different rifles or handguns go for it!

Well I currently live an hour from my hometown for school
but I live on a ranch, so yeah, I go out and shoot and hunt whenever I have a chance
ive been looking at a Kimber 1911
I have an AK-47 so I think I can hold off on an AR
But you are right, I will probably end up with both down the road lol

Btw seems like lots of helpful info but hard to find info just in one thread.

Plus, I figure there would be more potential on a weapons forum since most of the people here are interested more in C5s than anything else lol
