Here's where you lose me: physical assault is OK, but damage to the vehicle is not? How does that add up?

It's intentional vs. unintentional here. Yeah the guy in the old truck is an ass hat, but does he deserve to have his vehicle damaged for being a bad driver? Or old? Or handicapped? We don't know why he did what he did, but we do know that he didn't cause any damage. Then OP and his friend go inside the store, buy foam, and spray it in this guy's exhaust, just to be pricks. If you came out and saw someone damaging your car for no reason, what would you do? I don't think he is saying physical assault is ok. What I think he means is that an intentional bad act deserves retaliation, in this case, a punk who damages someone's property get a whoopin'. Seems fair to me.

Well then he should have had the balls and waited for the guy to come out and see what the deal was, and not be a punk and damage his property. One committed a crime, the other one didn't, and that's the difference. It's an old truck, and it's a full size, so a mirror getting moved is probably not felt inside the truck.

was it funny, HELL YES.....but the bad part......once the a$$hat gets his POS started, regardless of the fact he deserved it, and realizes what was done.....he is one of those people who will not let it go.....and if he ever sees your buddys truck parked somewhere unattended, there is no telling what they may do.....

personally.....another sollution would have been to go into the store and had them have the truck TOWED. That would have put the monkey on the stores back.....not your buddies.

You might want to look up the definition criminal damage. What they did IS a crime. And once again it is being assumed the guy did it on purpose while we know op and his buddy did their thing on purpose.
