Lakers-Mavs 91/99...L 0-1. Dwight fouled out, Princeton offense looks like crap. Too many missed free throws. I'm gonna say it now, fire mike brown dot com!!! I do 50 sit-ups for every missed free throw, 20 push ups for every turnover...I'm gonna be Lee Haney before the season's over!!!

Random Lakers story here....loosely anyways.

I grew up in Los Angeles, moved to Seattle back in 1979. Still am a die-hard Lakers fan, though I liked the Sonics while I was up here, if it came down to Sonics/Lakers, I'd root for the Lakers anytime.

Grew up with Goodrich, West, Wilt, Jabbar, Magic...and to this day hate the Celtics.

Anyways, in 1978, I went to high school at Pacific Palisades HS. One of my classmates was Jerry West's son. He wasn't a good friend, but we occasionally hung out together at school. At the time, I started smoking pot with some of those friends, and remember one time heading out to his car with him. He had a really nice 2nd Generation Camaro. He opens the trunk, and there are about 30 pot plants sitting there.

Anyways...totally random, weird story. Enjoy.

Steve, they played like they were on one of those pots last night. Lethargic, uninspired, lazy. Went 0-8 in the preseason. I know it's only game one, but that was pathetic against a Mavs team without Dirk Nowitski.

Did you see Kobes interview where he told the Laker fans to "shut up and let us work!" Haha, go Kobe! Theyre trying new shit with big name veterans. Its going to be awhile before everyone finds their place, but when they do, theyre going to be unstoppable. I dont foresee "Kobe time" anymore though. That was always my favorite.

I happen to agree with him. Dumb "phanz" should STFU! 5 championships in 12 years kinda spoils a crowd. I'm giving them space to gel, but I don't think Mike Brown's the right guy to get the job done. I totally support the players though. They'll work it out in spite of Mike Brown.
