I work out 6 days a week and love it. I don't do insanity or p90x because I dont want that type of body. I want a cut/built body so it takes a lot of dedication.

My split:
Chest/Calves
Back/Abs
Bi/Tris
Legs/Abs
Back/Calves
Cardio

This gives my body plenty of time between each body part and I hit everything hard once. I am 28 and my recovery time is slowing a bit so this works great for me. 5 years ago this wouldn't have been enough. I would have hit each part much more frequently. I believe 1 day should be in there for rest.

Good luck with being obsessed...Obsession Til Perfection!

I work out at home with some dumbbells and that thing that attaches to the top of your door frame for pull-ups. I do other exercises as well, but I think I should do it right and join a gym.

Anybody use protien powder? I think I'm going to try Optimum Nutrition, on the recommendation of another forum member.

I have but I stopped. I get much better and healthier results with my homemade post workout smoothies.

Im not sold on the 5day or 6day split thing.

If I work out a body part once a week, it feels like its not enough.

I seem to end up working out each body area every 3 days. If Im not sore, I work out.

Gold Standard is the one that I ordered actually...but since I wasn't paying attention, I ordered the wrong flavor

I'll be drinking the banana flavor instead of my usual chocolate flavor

Yes, and go with the Pro Complex. The higher price includes all your vitamins and minerals you need, along with BCAA's. LESS pills.

Everyone will be different with splits and as people get older splits will change too. When I was younger my body needed to hit each body part every 3 days. That built myself good mass, but now I don't want to get any bigger but more refined. I use 6 day split because I can concentrate more on each body part. Each part has many different muscles to focus on. For example biceps/Triceps day... I can focus certain exercises on the long head and short head of the bicep. Triceps...short head, long head, and medial head all get hit specifically...This accompanied with the more frequent use of dumbells instead of barbell, has increased my detail.

Everyone is going to be different on what they want their body to look like and splits will effect everyone differently. I get sore from this split. Soreness for me atleast contributes to the introduction of new exercises/reps/dropsets/failure to my routine. When the body gets used to routines, you may not see as much soreness.

I'll have to get that on my next order, thank you for the suggestion!

I just want to bulk up a bit, so that when people see me they say, "DAMN!"

For that, I was suggested to try Hydro Builder

Whey protein is an excellent suppliment but if you want to get bigger concentrate on your workouts. All the protein in the world won't get you bigger if you don't work hard.
