Speeding fines in NY state
Lets say hypothetically one was to get pulled over for doing 70 or 80 or even 92 in a 65... what kind of fines are we talking about? (Apparently in NY state you dont get your fine amount until you plead guilty... wtf)

When i got a 91 in a 65 heading upstate, i pleaded not guilty. I went to court and they cut it in half to a 78 in a 65. Fine was $350 + court costs.........Then they get you with the "driver assessment" months later in the mail. That was another $450. ............$150 a year for three years!! NY state is an expensive place to get caught doing anything, behave yourself!!!!

If you plea guilty you are looking at $180-$300 + Court Costs. It will be reported to PA, but you will not get points on your record.

I got pulled over in a tiny town in upstate, 50 in a 35, pleaded guilty and it was dropped to a parking ticket and $5 fine...

If you're 20+ over you're going to court guilty or not. That said, its in your best interest as they almost always drop the charge down lower.
