The $4584 instructional fee is the only legitimate tuition fee, and even that's ridiculous. Everything else is a load of crap and highway robbery.

Student Activity Fee (aka OSU Football Fee) only 37 and change!?

Student Activity Fee is what they charge everyone so they can put on free events. Which is cool...if I was a noncontributing zero who wasn't taking 5 classes + working 20-25 hours a week.

College has become crazy expensive and sadly a true waste of time. I've learned more about my field of study through work and experience than sitting in a class having a teacher read line after line of text to me. Let alone college is more of a social experience than learning experience now. I do not believe a piece of paper that says I spent 4+ years listening and balancing two jobs with full time school proves anything. My actual knowledge and experience is better than that. I can't tell you how many people I've met that are graduating when I am (December 2012) or close to it that only have either book knowledge or are lost as a duck in an ocean.

The U.S. educational system has fallen way behind. I won't get too much into it, but something needs to be done.
