I think people just don't take marriage seriously. If it happens for me, it will happen ONCE, and that is it. I think way too many people just marry whoever and say oh if it doesn't work out I'll get a divorce later. Marriage in the last 15 years or so does NOT mean what it meant before that, kwim? It isn't what it used to be. That kind of commitment should be more serious than that. My parents have been together 35 years. They've had really bad times but they work through them.

I think these days people go into marriage like if this doesn't work out I can always divorce and move on... Which is not how it should be. My parents have been together almost 40, my sister and her husband have been together almost 20... Its not something you take lightly... And you sure as hell need to respect them enough to say this is not working I want to fix it or want out instead of cheating and lying....
