That's because the engine pic you posted was from an old iron block that's been out of production for almost 3 years. Try searching for a newer more relative pic of the 5.8L and then you might see the problem.

I don't even like to login to comment here anymore but after reading this no one has said it. That is A BIASSSS picture over there. The first pic is recent but the second pic is of a TEST CAR. Meaning everything is just slapped in there and not cleaned up at all as the purpose is not looks but testing and easy to get to what is needed.
Can't you guys see the checkered covering around that hood which mean is was a testing car. Can't believe no one show that. I would bet underneath the cover of the final production cars does not look like that.

You made that pretty clear. That picture is of a SN95 4.6 that is 8 years old, at least.

And, since you didn't quote everything, that's why I'm on a Camaro site. And I owned an '01 Mustang with the 4.6. I know what I'm looking at.

Ford fanboys crack me up. They always use the "wait til next year!" card. First, they were saying how we need to just wait til next year for the 5.0, and now, we have to wait til next year for the 2013 Stang?

Don't see what the problem is here, even if it was unattractive..? (Which I don't think it is at all..) ![]() ![]() Nit picking at it's finest. Besides, no one will see an engine bay whilst driving, and (here's the real kicker) can be remedied in under 3 seconds for those who appose of it..

what are you talking about?? the 2013 stang comes out in a month or so. The GT500 has been waiting (since what, 2006?) for a competitor in the pony car segment for years upon years. Technically you can say Mustang has been waiting since 2002 (when the 03' Cobra came out) for a pony car competitor to come out thats faster. The ZL1 is an awesome car, the numbers prove it, but to say that Ford takes forever to respond is rediculous.
