Yeah if I had to pay rent I wouldn't be making it. Which is why I'm chained to the family farm till at least next fall when I start teaching night classes at the university and get another pay bump.

$1500?!!!! I had a 2500 square foot house with wood floors and a two car garage on an acre here and was paying $880.... It's crazy up North!!!

That's crazy!!!

Unfortunately $1,500 is cheap. I was paying $1,400 for my 2BR apartment before buying the house. If I wouldn't have gotten it through a short sale I'd be paying around $2k or so. It's only 1500 sq ft with 2BR, 2BA and a garage on about 1/4 of an acre. It's valued at $310k now and we bought it for $260k.

ohh, I almost forgot about the biggest "making bank" off of craigslist..... a little over a year ago I bought a '63 Porsche 356B for $8K.... fixed it up and sold if for $35K.... coulda got more for it, but hey, not a bad day's work
