my job was pretty good for around here..... part time with benefits, started at $10.50/hr and I got a $1hr raise every 3 months.... and they promote very fast, most people get a $4-5/hr jump after 6 months . Unless the boss wants to be an ass! And it was 40-50hrs a week too!

My wife is in the same boat as you.401k Insurance on her and Easton and taxes eat her check up. She doesn't even bring home that much. She does contribute 10% to 401k and her employer contributes 6%. So that will be good one day..........Just lucky to be working in this economy..

If I was paying rent here a nice two-bedroom condo on a golf course is about $500/monthly. I live on my family ranch, alone. I don't pay rent or my cell phone bill. Just car note, insurance, electric, gas, (well water is free) and internet....

At least you don't have to pay rent. That's a big plus. My house payment is fairly cheap considering where I live, and I still pay $1,500/mo.
