Yeah I'm following #centraltxfires and #txfires on twitter, and texas storm chasers on facebook. I'm about to leave here. Idk if the parents have started a evac pile yet but it may be a good idea.

That really surprises me given the acreage and the proximity to the Houston/Dallas/Austin areas. I was just in Houston like 3 weeks ago, seems like everywhere I go there is a wild fire.

Lol. Well we have 50 acres just North of Houston. Once you go north to The Woodlands, Tomball and Conroe there starts to be more ranch areas.

It honestly reminded me of being in north Florida. Very different from the pan-handle, Amarillo wasn't too much different than Arizona. First time I'd ever been to a major city in Texas.

Houston area is alot like North Florida. We have a place in Crestview Fl and its very similar to here, just more springs and pines in FL.
