I believe train is the cheapest way to ship anything across the country.
Yes, it WOULD have been cheaper to pick up your own car. Too bad thats not an option. There are lots of things rolled into that $850 or whatever it was....

If I want to continue to drive, I WILL PAY or I can take some of my own advise. Walking 85 miles to work isnt really going to happen... You will NEVER hear me bitch about the cost of fuel. Go to Europe... its like $8.00 a gallon.

I am sure for some people $1 more per gallon is a big deal... and as for your fleet of trucks, I am sorry about that, I am sure it cuts into your bottom line for whatever it is you do but no one really wants to hear you, or anyone else complain about it. Thats the problem with people, they arent happy unless they are complaining about something... its too hot, its too cold, too much rain, not enough rain, gas prices are too high, wages are too low... my goodness... enough already.

You dont want to pay for fuel to manage all those trucks... FIND A DIFFERENT JOB. No one is forcing you to do it.

No what I do think is is when its $3.00 today, $3.50 wednesday, $3.00 Friday, $3.40 next Wednesday... WTF, just price the shit and stick with it. Maybe the sheik can sell one of his chrome cars and make gas $3.00 for a year. I'm done, whine on.
Sorry it's not my job it's my business ,and I'm not the only one this affects. Like I said I'm glad you make plenty for it not to affect you in anyway. Your the only one I really see complaining on this thread anyhow. In fact ,you complain and bitch on just about every thread I see you post in. I used to be like you ,but I went through a very hard time in the past year with my health that opened my eyes. I only hope it doesn't take something like I went through in the past year to open yours.

What's funny is that even though they make cars that get 40mpg, most people who can afford this, STILL will not buy one.

People are addicted to large full size trucks and larger cars.

Its called honesty my friend. I almost forgot I was on the site that you can only say something IF it agrees with everyone elses views...

And I only bitch in about 75% of my posts! Some days are better than others! And since youre checking up on me... why dont you go back and look and see how many threads I STARTED that I was bitching... ZERO. I suppose thats neither here nor there...

I do undertand how economics works. Gas prices rise.... shipping costs rise.... product costs rise.... everyone feels the burden. But to come on here and says "OHHH GAS IS $3.50 A GALLON..... "

cry me a river...

Anyhow, I'm glad you're doing better from whatever ailed you!

jrhaus76 Did you stop to think shipping cost of anything involve labor, ware and tare, tolls, taxes......the lists go on. Not just fuel. Also it is proven that as fuel prices goes up the entire economy goes down. The rise in price is an indicator of a possible worsening of the country's economic future. Do you care? Do you own stock in a major oil company? Just asking?

I am familiar what costs are involved in shipping. I was just making a comparison that its not THAT expensive to move a large object (your car) from point A to point B at the current gas prices.

Yes, I care about a failing economy

No, I dont have stock in any oil companies.

OK PEOPLE SORRY FOR BEING REALISTIC.

DAMN THESE GAS PRICES

IT SHOULD BE FREE!!!

Thank you!

As far as checking on you, I don't. I guess since I don't try spending my time being bitter anymore, I notice it more when other people due.

Either way, if gas keeps going up it will affect even you someday.

Gas prices for Regular are currently hovering around $2.99 here in MD.

I can't possibly see how this is a surprise... or considered a bad thing. How this effects me might just be put in terms of me doing less burn-outs, jack-rabbit sprints at every other light, a cease of daily runs to 100mph+ just for kicks, and perhaps... a stoppage of my morning run to McDonalds for my Iced Mocha at $3 x 6 days = $18 per week ($936 annually ).

Hell doing those things alone make the issue a moot point, and would make my PERSONAL gas prices as low as $1 per gallon.

$2.89/gallon for 89 octane, $2.99/gallon for 91 octane, & $3.09/gallon for 93 octane here in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Heck, if gas prices go up just a dime, I'm paying an extra $1.90 to fill my tank. Big @#$%ing deal!!! You people who are whining spend more than that on a pack of smokes, bottled water, bran muffins, or your Starbuck's. GET OVER IT!!!

You knew the price going in buying a sports car with less mileage and the possibility of gas prices going up. Deal with it and stop whining like a bunch of @#$%ing titty-babies.
