Amen to that. It's been nearly 2 decades since we've seen a true slugfest like this.

One of my best friends has a GT500 and the rivalry between us and the whole Ford vs. Chevy thing is fun. Its just like sports and liking different teams. I am a GM guy all the way, but that GT500 is a helluva car.

That's like me and two chicks at work. Those two rag on me all day. "You need to do this" "You are an idiot" "Hey, quit being an ass". So I call them midgets, unbalanced (very "top heavy"), hicks, and what not but it's all in good fun and we both know it. Same stuff applies to the Camaro vs. Mustang. No reason to fly off the handle (not directed at you).

I gotta respect anyone who is passionate enough about a car to lay down $50K on it. The people that bother me are the ones that don't really own one and mouth off about them anyway. Personally, I don't like the looks of the GT500 but it is a great performer. I actually saw one in Moscow the other day. It costs twice as much here, so someone layed down $100K on a Mustang! There must be something endearing about a GT500 to lay down that kind of money for one.
Having said that, you wouldn't find me on a Mustang forum, so hmmm.

Interestingly enough, he is leaning toward a 1st Gen Camaro, which would be an awesome car to do. |

The first car I bought was this 67 Camaro when I was 18 years old in 1998. I blew the engine and stabbed a GMPP ZZ4 and Hughes TH400 with 3k stall and 12 bolt with 4.10's out back. It ended up being too nice and too much for my DD which was very common in the late 90's.
I was and still am a Chevy only muscle car guy. Heck I still have my 72 Monte Carlo waiting for air ride and larger rims and tires.
