Aftermrket fuel pump

Hey everyone I was looking at getting a LT4 fuel pump and ran into this pump. that Nostrum Energy 1050-250. I emailed the place I found it and they said "they are extremely tricky to tune". So I'm wondering if anyone here has used this pump or heard of it and knows anything about it.

I would not buy anything Nostrum made. Poor support and terrible to tune.

Damn it, I thought it was too good to be true. Thanks for the confirmation.

I got Nostrum injectors on mine. It took time and love in the tuning process but they idle and run just as good as the factory injectors.

Have not found that to be the case with mine. Way too much time into them and got little support from the manufacturer. Maybe I’m just lucky LOL

I had to get the volumetric efficiency tables adjusted at the time, so this probably played into a factor of it, but did you try to adjust the injector fuel density multiplier table?

That seems to be entirely the prevalent case in between making the injectors perform like factory ones do. There is no amount of support on their end which will get that set up for you.

It takes a lot of time and effort to get it right. Probably more than most are willing to put in, but with that precise level of control of them you're more likely to wind up with much more precise fueling across the entire RPM band spectrum, this winds up showing up in the fuel trim stability throughout.

There was literally 20+ tables that needed to be changed vs LT4 ones lol and I’m sure that was one of them. LPE reviewed my tune (their injectors, made by Nostrum) and couldn’t find anything wrong. I then reached out to Nostrum multiple times and couldn’t get a single reply. If I decide to dig back into this, I’ll connect up with you if you don’t mind.

Sure thing brotha, just let me know! I forgot you have an LT1 so there's already a discrepancy that I didn't account for. You'd be surprised what they don't include in their applicator templates. There's more layers to it than they lead you to believe just based on the parameter changes they give you.
