Attempted theft- car now dead

Someone attempted to steal my ZL1 out of my “secure” parking garage within my apartment complex. Not sure why they were unsuccessful. Window smashed out, hood open, cover removed from left side of steering wheel. The car now has no power at all. Nothing seems damaged or disconnected upon visual inspection. Anyone have any ideas on things to check before I tow it to the dealership?

Have it towed to a Chevy dealer and fixed. Any repairs should be covered by your insurance policy (although I'd check with them first).

Then, start looking to move somewhere else. Maybe not in NY.

Probably realized it was a stick shift after tearing into it, and walked away leaving something on that killed your battery.

Just curious, did you have ANY theft deterrent measures in place prior to the attempted theft?

No, there wasn’t anything third party installed at the time. I had the IGLA installed today.

What was the damage. Also, what did IGLA cost you?

The thieves were pretty careful, only thing that was actually damaged was the window, aside from two small scratches on the dash piece they popped open. IGLA was $1300.

An attempt was made to steal my car while I was at the gym. They busted out the driver side window. That's where they stopped after discovering it was a manual.

Of course, I had to replace the window plus tint. The glass had scratched my PPF on the door. I had a kill switch installed immediately afterwards and haven't driven it to that gym again.
