APEX wheels but which tires?

I decided to take advantage of the APEX sale and grab some VS-5RS 20x9.5" ET22 and VS-5RS 20x11" ET44. My stock LT1 trim has 20x8.5 all around so this new setup should make a world of difference. Weight savings of 25lb+ and a lot more meat.

My car is 99% street car only driven in nice weather and drag strip on occasion. 100% fun

I'm thinking on going with Mickey Thompson Street Comp radial 275/35R20 27.6 dia for the front and Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S drag radial 315/30R20 27.8 dia for the rear. Stock is 27.7 dia on the wimpy 245/40/20 so I think the dia is a good match.

It looks like plenty of guys run a 275/35 27.6 dia on the fronts without issue? APEX says I may need to adjust camber to clear front fender. Did you guys have to mess with camber?

Also what do you think about the 315/30 27.8 dia on the rear?

If this tire setup wouldn't work I'd probably tone it down and go with a Nitto setup with NT555 G2 265/35 27.32 dia front and NT555 RII 305/30 27.24 dia rear.

Lets say you?

Anyone know the exact amount of camber adjustment there is on the stock 6th gen?

The 275/35 and the 315/30 will fit just fine. Especially at those size tires widths and offsets. I'd look at something more all season friendly if your planning to do more than launches.

Think max front camber is somewhere around -2 front and -1.7 rear. Everyone has some slight variation, but other users post this is about the most they can do on a stock suspension setup.

Thank you for the info

The car is only driven in spring/summer on the weekends no rain. You still think I’ll need normal street tires? I drove on these s/s tires with my 4th gens on the street no problems. Are you talking about something better for corner carving?

I like my continentals. Either the DWS or the Sports 02.

Tire weight is also something I look at. Maybe not so much of a concern on a daily driver, but my 305/30R20 continentals Dws weigh 28 pounds, where as the Mickey Thompson street comp weigh 36 pounds.

I'm talking about using the Street Comp radial 275/35R20 on the front 31lbs
and the ET Street S/S drag radial 315/30R20 on the rear 34lbs.

While the 27-28lbs tires sound great, I'd have to move away from the stickier tire that I will need in the rear. The Nitto setup I was also considering would be a tad lighter.

Going with the Nitto setup instead.
Stock setup was 240lbs.
Apex+Nittos is 208.04lb.
Total weight savings is an honest 30lb.
Later
