There is one just down the road at the dealership I'm going to go check out. I've not considered them, but they are growing on me and I want to take one for a drive to see how I like them. I've decided it's time to enjoy something other then the Gen6. I enjoyed the one I had for almost 6 years. I'm going to pick up something else and enjoy that for a while.

C7... C8... I don't have to hunt and I don't have to have one shipped to me. I can pick either up right around here.

The thing you might not realize is whatever else you get is also most likely “overpriced” and has appreciated since the time you bought your original Camaro. I’m in the market for a different car too except I know what prices were on them 7 years ago when they were 7 years newer. Prices were literally 10k cheaper 7 years ago than they are now even though they are 7 years older. I can assure you that grand sports are also roughly 10k more expensive right now versus 7 years ago even they were only 1-3 years old.

Unfortunately this is just the reality of buying a car the past 6 or so years and it’s never going back unless there’s a god for bid major recession and folks have to get rid of their toys.

Here you go. $47,500 (on a $57,500 MSRP) for a brand new car with a warranty (you said you weren’t modding enough to void a warranty) and more HP than the 2SS came with. It’s even blue. You’re welcome.

No.. I realize that. The difference is I can go right down the road and pick up a C7 or C8. I don't have to hunt and hunt and then if I do find something most likely have to tack on shipping to the already inflated price. (or) fly and drive too.

Tomorrow I'm going to go take the C8 I seen on the Chevy lot here Sat when I cruised the lot for a test drive. I want to see if I even like them. I would have done it Sat, but it was just dumping rain here heavy all day... Not the day to enjoy a sports car test drive.

The other good thing is yesterday I got my Harley ready to ride for the season. So once I start getting back on that again, I think about the sports car, but no were near as often. Right now winter... It's bad for me, because i become consumed with spring/summer toys.

I assume you are being sarcastic, but if you are not... there will never be a Ford parked in my garage.

I used to have an 82 Celica Supra... I looked at the new Supra, but damb.. .they are just ugly... I'll stick with Chevy... ZL1, C7 GS or Z06...C8 (Maybe) If I get another sports car it will be one of those.. Unless another 2SS just happens to land in my lap.. but for the most part... I'm done looking for one of those.

Happy Easter all, time to go to the family's house and visit and over eat.. TTYL.

Why is that sarcasm? It’s the only new V8 muscle car for sale and it checks every box of what you were getting in a 10 year old 2SS plus you now get a warranty. It’s a better value at $47K than a 10 year old car is at $37K. If you don’t want a Ford, that’s fine. But to pretend that isn’t a viable “plan b” is kinda silly, no?

We don't buy or advocate for Mustangs here, Josh especially not some simple Camaro wannabe 5.0 GT that was already meh when released.

Jay, here's a 2017 ZL1 for you: https://www.truecar.com/used-cars-fo...FK1R62H0197551 (not super cheap, but it's a ZL1 with relatively low mileage)

No, I have no desire for a Ford Mustang

The C8 still has a V8... No?

That checks all the boxes, but the C8 here is roughly the same price, so I am going to go take that for a drive before I make any decisions. I also might of just got a bead on an '18 Hyperblue 2SS that checks all the boxes... (less the sunroof). Only has 12k miles on it too.

C8 is not a muscle car. Two seat mid engine sports car. I’ll agree is a great alternative, just pointing out it’s not an apples to apples comparison. Good luck with your search!
