Cruise control

I also replaced my cruise control switch today. I was very nervous at first, but tbh, it was actually pretty easy. I had to completely disassemble the switch to remove and install the new one. Also wrapped the bottom of the steering wheel,(which had bubbles) with a carbon fiber wrap. Just wanted to try it out as most carbon fiber wraps dont look very good. It surprisingly turned out pretty good. Obviously not the real thing but close, it shifts with different angles too.

EOS side skirts installed. Unfortunately, learned a few lessons there, but got past the trials. Seems there are a lot of ways to go, I recommend not using tape at all on the flats attaching to the underside of the rockers, tape only what will attach to the rocker sides. After attaching with the tape, I used a couple jacks to gently but firmly push up on the outside of the skirt to seat and seal the tape. Gave that 30 minutes, then put self tapping stainless screws every 9 inches as high as I could get them from underneath, drilled smaller pilot holes to start the self tappers on their way. They feel very solid, and only have the tape gap at the top, I’ll caulk with a bead of black Permatex tomorrow just to seal out the weather to protect the tape. Passenger side tape job shown, used adhesive promoter on both sides.

Finally got around to doing a quick pull up with the new tires. 3/10 of a second faster. Wasn’t expecting that.

Our onboard computers don’t let you really launch without starting the timer and I had the ac on, so it makes me wonder what I could really do if I had the ac off and did closer to a 2.5-3k launch…

And at 162,683 miles too. Not bad for a NA 2016 V6.

I remember when 4 sec 0-60 were corvette territory. Solid numbers for a v6.

That's very solid for the V6... The marketing for the M6 SS was 4.3 sec 0-60 so you are right there... (A10 SS was 4.0 sec)

Pulled out of storage, did an oil change, and took her on the first drive of the year.

312 CCA is bad, old AGM pack has to go. If it still cranked and started the car, you're lucky.

The recommendation I've heard is to replace the oil and filter before you put it away. Drive it a bit to circulate the new oil. Putting it away with used oil means that any acids, moisture, and sludge is going to be in your car all winter. I always winterize my boat this way. (Olds 455)

Starts every morning, even on the cold winter mornings this past winter. LOL. Also runs a 1000 watt amp & sub. I do put a charger on it quite a bit. But yeah, I think I'm on borrowed time.

That is good advice. I'll do that before storage this year.
