Wow, I hope to be at the level both you and SOCAL's cars are at. I'm only a couple months in and it's currently winter here. I's sure it's a multi year process (especially with my funds) but I want to turn my car into something special like both of your car's. In time lol as I impatiently hover over online checkout buttons every night holding back.

Thanks for the compliment my friend! Neither of our cars were built overnight... took years indeed! Happy to help with some navigation when you are ready. We have both learned a lot in the process, and would love to help you avoid some of the mistakes we have made.

Thanks for the complements. One thing I learned, going to fast and not knowing what needed done, changes. what works together and what can't work if something else. I made some costly mistakes along the way, I chalked it up to the cost of "education" I wish you the best road forward and good luck with your build.

Our build threads are good reads, Gabe jump right in and pulled his motor and went all the way (what I should have done too knowing seeing where I ended up). I went the 3 different phases of bolt ones, just to do a 4th phase where I changed most all of it ! I had great power increases each step I made, so it was worth it to me as it helped me realize if I was at a level in power that was good and I could stop there and be happy. Nope, Joshinator99, radz28, RobZL1, ZLRob, and SOCAL.M6.ZLE were ALL BAD INFLUENCES on me. So I went all the way with phase 4! and I'm gald I did !

Update: Last thing needed for my ZL1 to be fully back together is the skid plate! They will load a calibration tune for CAM, Heads and 2650 tomorrow. That's when I'll get my first real, this is what she "sounds like" video of the new build! I'll put it on my YouTube channel once I get it! Alex and Nick fired it up end of last week. But with not having a calibration tune, it was pretty rough. It will go to the Dyno later this week, Alex is going to video all the Dyno pulls! If all goes as planned, it may be ready to pick up this Friday or early next week!

Update: So, my new Weld Forged Rear Vitesse Beadlocks (17x10) showed up this weekend, mounted and balance! The fronts (18x6) are still in queue being made due to Weld having a machine down and things backed up a bit. These wheels with tires mounted are pretty dang light !
