That took a while but looks like it's done up perfectly.

Well, our 6th gen journey is almost at an end. Our lease is up soon and we've decided not to buy it out. We have been talking about a replacement for a while now and we've landed on the C6 Corvette. I've always wanted a Corvette since I was a kid but I've just never bought one. I've always felt that the Camaro made more sense for us over the years because of the performance to dollar value. I guess that's why I've had 15 Camaros and Trans Ams over the years.

Why not the C8, or even the C7, if I may ask?

Several factors but mainly because of cost and the fact that we both really like the C6. The C6 is my personal favorite. The cost of entry for a 6 speed manual LS2 or LS3 is high teens to mid $20ks and that's a fantastic performance bargain.

You can still find plenty of well cared for low mileage C6s and they're really pretty darn reliable. It's also the last purely analog Corvette.

Makes perfect sense, I didn't know a proper C6 can now be had for so little.

C6 is an EXCELLENT choice. My Dad picked up a '07 3LT A6 with 88K on the odo for under $20K. Beautiful car. If you can swing it, look for a GS. With a dry-sump LS3 and 6-sp manual I think it's the best blend of modern and classic performance and styling. Have fun shopping!
